Privacy notice

1. Who we are

Tech Impact Inc. (“Tech Impact”, “we”, “us”) is an AI automation and custom software firm, remote-first across Canada and the United States. This notice explains what this website does with personal information. You can reach us any time at grow@techimpact.ca.

2. What we collect

Only what you enter into the assessment request form:

• Your name
• Your business name
• Your email address
• Optionally, your description of the work that takes the most time

That is everything the form asks you for. This site has no accounts, no logins and no payments, so there is nothing else for it to ask.

One item is added automatically rather than typed by you: the IP address the submission was sent from. Section 4 explains where that comes from and what it is for.

3. What this site does not do

Stated plainly, because most sites do the opposite:

• No cookies. This site sets none, which is why you were never asked to dismiss a cookie banner.
• No analytics or measurement. We do not know how many people visit, how far they scroll or where they came from.
• No advertising or tracking pixels, and no profiling.
• No third-party fonts. The typefaces are served from our own domain, so loading a page tells no one else you were here.
• No social embeds or share widgets.

Loading this site makes no request to any third party. The only request that ever leaves our domain is the assessment form itself, at the moment you choose to submit it.

4. How an assessment request is handled

When you submit the form, it is sent to Web3Forms, a form delivery service that relays the contents to our inbox. That inbox is grow@techimpact.ca, hosted on Microsoft 365. Web3Forms and Microsoft act as our service providers and process the information only to deliver and store your message.

Web3Forms also records the IP address the submission was sent from and shows it on the notification that reaches us. That is a standard check against automated abuse of the form. We do not use it for anything else, and we do not try to identify you from it.

If the form is ever unable to send, the page falls back to opening a pre-filled message in your own email program. In that case nothing is transmitted anywhere until you press send yourself.

5. Hosting and server logs

This site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel records standard request logs, which can include your IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and a timestamp. These are used to serve the site and to keep it secure and available. We do not use them to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with anything else.

6. Why we hold it

We use what you send for one purpose: to reply to you and, if you want it, to carry out the free assessment you asked for. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we will not send you marketing you did not ask for.

7. How long we keep it

Assessment requests stay in our mailbox as ordinary business correspondence, so that we have a record of what was discussed. If you would like your request deleted, email us and we will remove it.

8. Where the information goes

Our service providers operate servers in the United States, so your information is stored and processed outside Canada. While it is there it is subject to the laws of that country, and may be accessible to courts and authorities under those laws. By sending the form you understand this transfer takes place.

9. Your choices and your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can also withdraw your consent at any time. Email grow@techimpact.ca and we will action it; there is no form to fill in and no charge.

In Canada this site is subject to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

10. Security

The site is served only over HTTPS, so what you type into the form is encrypted in transit. We keep the number of places your information can sit as small as we reasonably can, which is why there is no database behind this site. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.

11. Children

This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13.

12. Changes to this notice

If this notice changes we will update the effective date and advance the revision letter shown at the top of this page, so you can tell at a glance whether it has moved since you last read it.
